Calling all schools and groups, your chance to get involved with Cleveleys Sea Festival!
On 4th July 2010, Cleveleys will host a day of fun, entertainment and arts, in the shape of the new Sea Festival.
Community performers will mix with paid entertainers, in a day of celebration of all things nautical and the seaside. It will also mark a celebratory event of the completion and opening of the final phase of the sea defences to the boundary with Blackpool.
It is intended to hold a parade along the promenade, right from Kingsway to Jubilee Gardens, and the parade will include schools, groups and organisations, all dressed in costumes and masks with various themes of the sea. You might want to be a pirate or mermaid, a sea dragon or sea horse, the limit is really your imagination!
We'll be sending details out and recruiting groups right until the event itself, but the earlier you start and get involved, the better your costumes will be, and the bigger a splash your group will make.
Manor Beach Primary School, Northfold Primary, Anchorsholme Primary, Rossall School, Blackpool 6th Form College already signed up!
