The main aim of Cleveleys Seafront Partnership is to engage the community of both local and visiting people with the seafront area and new promenade, through a series of projects, events and entertainment.

The Partnership is developing activities where people of all ages from the whole community work together on arts, local history and cultural projects, bringing everyone together of all ages - school children, older people and everyone in between.

The Partnership is in the process of developing links with schools and groups all over Wyre and the Fylde coast, so that we can all work together to produce joint events and projects. A majority of the local schools are already involved and excited by the opportunities that being involved with this group offers - it is a chance to impress everyone with what you can achieve and show off your achievements!

The following events have been arranged for 2010:

- Sandcastle Competition, main beach, 6 June
- Cleveleys Sea Festival, 4 July 2010
- Classic Car Rally, main promenade, 15 August
- Beachwatch National Litterpick, Rossall Beach, 18/19 September
- Ghoulish Ghost Tour, 31 October
- Light up a Life Christmas event, 25 November 2010

The group is also developing the membership base, by offering a better package of information and updates to all members (by email). We'll also be including community based events that all members would be welcome to attend, and we'll be inviting members to come along and help at one-off events. Ideal if you'd like to keep your hand in and give a bit back to the community, but you haven't got the time to commit to being a regular volunteer.

Please get in touch if you have any ideas for projects, or are part of a group or club who would like to get involved.
